I soon decided on the car I wanted, and it was now down to me to find it. It wasn’t long until I came across ‘Flemings Specialist Cars’. Posted in the stock list was the Mercedes C Class I had been looking for… the pictures were stunning, and it was the exact spec I was wanting.
I contacted Craig straight away to see if it was still available, and his response time was remarkable. We discussed the car over the next 24 hours and he could not have been any more helpful… really friendly and overall, professional. My complication was that, I lived 5 hours away, I was also working abroad that week, and I was worried I would lose the car. I called him to explain I would be purchasing the car over the phone on his recommendation. Craig didn’t pressure me into a sale, and actually advised I come and see it the following week. I didn’t want to take this risk, so I placed a deposit.
The following week I arranged to fly in and pick up the car. Craig was on holiday so had his dad Geoff pick me up, and deal with the handover… Geoff is an amazing guy, we had a really good chat, and he told me all about Craig’s passion for selling and racing cars. When we arrived at the garage, the Mercedes was more gorgeous than the pictures… I was blown away. We took it for a test drive, which after half a mile, I said was perfect, and we completed on the car. Although his dad dealt with the handover… Craig was on the phone dealing with the transaction… (even whilst in his holidays)… that type of service is very rare.
I can’t recommend Craig and ‘Flemings Specialist Cars’ highly enough…. fantastic service, beautiful cars, and one happy customer.

When I was looking to replace my BMW X5 with a newer model I came across Flemings and Craig in Autotrader. Craig had a car that looked exactly what I was after and so I got in touch. Right from the start I felt comfortable with Craig and visited him to look over the car which was exactly, if not even better than, as described in the ad and pretty much in showroom condition despite being over 4 years old. To cut a long story short I bought the car and found the whole process with Craig relaxing and stress free, he’s a very easy guy to get on with.
However, the excellent service I received in the sales process didn’t end there – unlike some dealers. Shortly after purchasing it I noticed a leak in the sunroof which only showed up after torrential rain and when it was parked on my sloping drive. This had not shown up previously to Craig as the car had been in his showroom since he received it and only been out for a couple of test drives in the dry. I asked my local independent BMW garage to look at it to see if it was just a dodgy seal, but they could not find anything wrong, so using his contacts Craig had it picked up and returned to my home by Dick Lovett in Bristol, where a crimped pipe was diagnosed as the problem by one of their technicians. Because the pipe was behind a panel, it needed a specialist to fix it and Craig drove up from Bridgwater to my office in Cheltenham with his Dad (lovely chap also), picked the car up, took it to another of his contacts who did a great job of fixing the problem and delivered it back to me in Cheltenham the next day. All at no cost to me. Now that’s great service!
Consequently, I have no hesitation in recommending Flemings and it will be first on my list to find me my next car.
